POEM FOR SUSAN HATTIE

Susan and Andreas:

I shared your love, and yes, a part of your lives. I thank you for that opportunity. Without RFC none of us would "know" the other.

This passage was helpful to me at the deaths of both mt sister and sister- in-law. It seems appropriate to Susan Hattie's life also.

"A butterfly lights beside us 

   like a sunbeam 

And for a brief moment 

   its glory and beauty 

   belong to our world 

But then it flies on again, 

   and though we wish 

   it could have stayed 

   we feel so lucky 

      to have 

         seen it."
